Mr eclectic electric, Mr internationalist (69 countries to date), part time Fat Freddy’s Drop collaborator/remixer and DJ (Electric Freddy); the John Coltrane of electronic music, Grammy nominated (2002), multi award winning DJ and producer, Daddy Vad returns with his 6th solo album entitled ‘Don’t be Scared’.
Recorded in part in New Zealand, Hawaii and the Caribbean, the new album is a celebration of bass music, bellowing through an array of styles from future garage, hip hop grime to post dubstep, drum step to future beats electronica with a firm root in 80 digital dancehall. “Don’t Be Scared” is a tropical bass extravaganza with no limits, no boundaries, no boxes.. Joe Tatton
Joe has played for 6 years with the New Mastersounds having worked with them on 4 studio albums and a live album.. Touring primarily the U.S. on Hammond organ and pianos, he has joined them at venues like the Filmore West, Tipitinas and House of Blues in New Orleans and Fuji Rock in Japan. Along the way Joe has played full length sets with Maceo Parker, Fred Wesley, Art Neville, George Porter Jr and many other great musicians.
Joe also featured on Corinne Bailey Raes first album playing keyboards on the grammy nominated “Put your Records on” . More recently alongside Leeds funksters “The Haggis Horns” Joe played keyboards and some guitar on their first two albums “Keep on Movin’” and “Hot Damn!”
