Anne Muldrow a singer, musician and producer, and is the first female artist signed to the Stones Throw Records. She comes from family with music background, where her dad was a jazz player and her mum a musical director. She is known for playing the majority of instruments featured on her recordings, and her vocal style and musical accompaniment often are free-form in nature. Her albums are inspired by ’70s soul, free jazz and a bottom-heavy hip-hop thump, and she truely is a producer extraordinaire who sure has a long and meaningful career ahead of her.
Dudley Perkins is a rapper and singer from Oxnard, California. He also released records on Stones Throw Records under his own name and the alias of Declaime. His first two albums under the name of Dudley Perkins were produced by Madlib, who is his friend from childhood. His last album – Self Study as Declaime was released together with documentary about himself called Interplanetary Peace Talks 2012 A.U, which shows and explains his life and journey through music
Georgia and Dudley started to collaborate together as a project G&D in 2007 and have been working togehter since on various albums and projects. They have founded and are running their own label SomeOthaShip, on which they just released Georgia Anne Muldrows latest album “Seeds”, which was fully produced by Madlib.
